The cost depends on whether the job is a repair or a full replacement, what parts are required, and whether the toilet needs to come out of the ground. A fill valve or flapper replacement takes an hour or two. A full replacement involves more labor: removing the old toilet, inspecting and treating the floor, setting the new one, and sealing it. Time of day and how easily the plumber can access the shutoff valve also factor in.
